Miniature Electromechanical Relays
RLRL4A
In this section we can find miniature electromechanical relays with small signals and others of small size.
What is a miniature relay or signal relay?
Miniature relays or Signal relays or Low signal relays are electromechanical relays designed to manage low signals and are generally used in telecommunications and/or switching of small loads.
They are similar to conventional relays, medium power relays or high power relays, but are designed to handle low voltage and current, typically electrical currents less than 2 A, and switch signals with nominal voltages between 5 and 30 Volts.
Although other higher power relays can be used to handle small signals, to use miniature relays or signal relays is recommended for the following reasons:
They are cheaper relays.
They do not corrupt the low intensity signals in the audio and/or video systems they manage, or at least they generate less electronic noise in the associated circuits than other higher power ones.
They are designed so that they are not affected by nearby electromagnetic and radio frequency disturbances.
Fixation is simple and it can be placed on printed circuits.
More detailed information about relays and electromechanical relays can be found on our Relays page.
