This is approximately 360 yards (329 m) of conductive thread spun from stainless steel fiber and wound on a spool. You can use it as a creative way to connect various electronic devices to clothing projects. This large spool is a great way to get into portable electronics without a big upfront cost and in a large enough quantity that you won't be afraid of making a few mistakes.
What sets this thread apart from other conductive threads we use is the fact that it is actually spun from stainless steel fibers (as opposed to plated silver) and does not have a nylon core. This means that while it may not be easy to solder, since it is stainless, it also won't burn when you touch it with a soldering iron.
Also, it is somewhat "hairy" and can be a little more difficult to work with in close conditions. and thinner than the other thread.
It is suggested to wax the thread for hand sewing, as this should solve any "fuzzy thread" problems. Since waxing is not practical in machine sewing applications, avoid machine sewing close connections as "hairs" could shorten over small distances.
