Overview:
The TMP36 is a low temperature and precision temperature sensor. It provides an output voltage linearly proportional to the temperature Celsius (centigrade).
The TMP36 does not require any external calibration to provide typical accuracies of ± 1°C to +25°C and ± 2°C in the -40°C to + 125°C
The low impedance of the TMP36 output, its linear output and precise calibration simplify interconnection with temperature control circuits and ADC converters. All three Devices are designed to operate with a single supply of 2.7 V to 5.5 V max.
The supply Current is well below 50 i.Ta, which allows a very low self-heating, less than 0.1°C in still air. In addition, a stop function is provided to cut off the supply Current to less than 0.5 i.Ta.
Applications:
Environmental Control Systems
Thermal Protection
Industrial Process Control
Fire Alarms
Power System Monitors
Processor Thermal Management.
Low voltage operation (2.7 V to 5.5 V)
Calibrated directly in °C
Scale factor of 10 mV/°C (20 mV/°C in TMP37)
