The HY 1N4007 is a silicon rectifier diode with a diffused junction in an axial DO-41 package. It is intended for rectification, with a maximum average forward rectified current of 1 A and a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1 000 V.
The package is moulded plastic and its plastic material has UL 94V-0 recognition. A colour band on the body identifies the cathode, making the component orientation clear during assembly. It may be mounted in any position.
The ratings are specified for a single-phase, half-wave 60 Hz resistive or inductive load unless a parameter states otherwise. For capacitive loads, the manufacturer specifies a 20 % current derating. The operating junction temperature range is −55 to +150 °C.
