The DRS-240 series from Mean Well are UPS systems with AC input and DC output.
When mains power is available, the unit provides a stable output while simultaneously charging the batteries. In the event of a power failure, it maintains the output powered by the battery. These power supplies are suitable for security applications, access control, and any application that must continue operating even during a power outage.
The DRS series offers the functions of a power supply, battery charger, and DC UPS, as well as... as battery monitoring.
The alarms are designed to comply with EN54-4, UL2524, NFPA 1221 and GB17945 with adjustable parameters via a communications interface.
- It has a relay with normally open or normally closed contact.
- Includes MODBus communication protocol for equipment configuration and monitoring.
- The battery charging curve can be configured using the free PC software and the SBP-001 communication interface (not included and only with the CANBus version).
- Charging can be configured in 2 or 3 stages.
- The charging current can also be configured using a potentiometer between 20% and 100% of the maximum charging current.
- The output current is divided between the connected load and the batteries, always giving priority to the load; that is, if the powered equipment consumes more power, the output will be reduced.
- The battery charging current is adjusted to prevent critical loads from shutting down. When the load level decreases, the batteries will recharge more quickly according to the programmed settings.
- The DRS-240 series DC UPSs offer maximum reliability for critical loads, along with advanced battery charge control to extend battery life.
