The PHASAK PH 9478 Smart Home is an 850 VA / 480 W line-interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with automatic voltage regulation (AVR). It is designed to maintain power and protect computers, monitors, network equipment, NAS devices and other compatible electronics against mains failures, short interruptions and voltage fluctuations.
It provides 8 Schuko outlets, all with battery backup and surge protection. AVR corrects variations in the incoming mains voltage without continuously using the battery, while the UPS provides a simulated sine-wave output when operating from battery power.
The unit contains a sealed 12 V / 7 Ah AGM battery and supports automatic charging and automatic restart. Its LCD shows input and output voltage, connected load level and battery status. Audible alarms and a silent operating mode are also provided.
A front USB-A port and USB-C port provide device charging at a combined 5 V / 2.4 A. The current version also provides USB HID communication through USB-B for UPS monitoring from compatible equipment.
The PH 9478 can be used on a desktop or wall-mounted in either a vertical or horizontal position. A resettable input circuit breaker provides overload protection.
The UPS should be installed indoors in a dry, well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. The manufacturer specifies at least 20 cm of free space around the unit, connection to an earthed wall outlet and avoidance of extension leads.
Before first use, the UPS should remain connected to the mains for at least 8 hours to charge the battery. High-consumption equipment such as laser printers, photocopiers and heaters should not be connected to the battery-backed outlets, and the unit is not intended for medical or life-support equipment.
For wall mounting, fixing hardware is not supplied and must be suitable for at least 6.8 kg. The specified distance between fixing points is 182.7 mm. Battery replacement or internal work should follow the manufacturer's safety instructions and use the same battery type.
