The SWITCHTRONIX RL3A524 is a conventional electromechanical relay with a 24 V DC coil and one SPDT changeover contact (1 Form C). It provides one normally open (NO) and one normally closed (NC) contact; when the coil is energised, the common contact transfers between the two positions.
The contact is rated at 12 A at 250 V AC. The 24 V DC coil has a resistance of 1 440 Ω ±10 % and a power rating of 400 mW. Maximum pick-up time is 15 ms and maximum release time is 8 ms.
The relay has an operating temperature range of −40 to 85 °C. The documentation specifies a dielectric strength of 5 000 V AC for 1 min between the coil and contacts and 2 500 V AC for 1 min between contacts, together with a minimum mechanical life of 10 000 000 operations.
