The TE Connectivity RT114024, from the SCHRACK RT1 series, is a general-purpose electromechanical power relay with a 24 V DC coil and one changeover contact (1 CO, SPDT / 1 Form C). Its magnetic system is monostable: when de-energised, common terminal 11 is connected to normally closed contact 12 (NC); energising the coil switches it to normally open contact 14 (NO), and it returns to its rest position when the coil is de-energised.
The contacts are AgNi 90/10, with a rated current of 12 A and a rated contact voltage of 250 V AC. Maximum switching voltage is 400 V AC and maximum breaking capacity is 3,000 VA. For making current, the manufacturer specifies up to 25 A for a maximum of 4 s at a 10 % duty factor.
Part number 1-1393239-3 is the standard 12 A version with a 3.5 mm terminal pinning and an RTII (flux-proof) environmental protection category. It uses PCB-THT terminals, is suitable for wave soldering and provides reinforced insulation between the coil and contacts. Applications identified by TE for the RT1 series include timers, boiler control, garage door control and interface modules.
The standard version also supports plug-in mounting. When the relay is socket-mounted, TE states that derating of the specified contact ratings may apply compared with direct wiring, so the limits applicable to the complete mounting arrangement must be observed.
