This dual motor driver lets you independently control two brushed DC motors bidirectionally, or drive one bipolar stepper motor, using a compact dual H-bridge stage. It is well suited to robotics, automation and educational builds requiring reliable speed and direction control.
It supports a recommended motor supply of 4.5 V to 13.5 V and accepts PWM control up to 100 kHz for smooth motor operation. Output capability is up to 1 A continuous per channel with 3 A peak per channel (subject to thermal conditions). The outputs can be paralleled for up to 2 A continuous drive.
Logic operation from 2.7 V to 5.5 V makes it compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V microcontrollers. Built-in thermal protection and reverse-voltage protection on the motor supply add robustness for real-world use.
