Waveshare USB Blaster V2 Download Cable, compatible with the ALTERA USB Blaster FPGA/CPLD programmer.
This cable connects a computer's USB port to an Altera FPGA mounted on a printed circuit board.
The cable sends configuration data from the PC to a standard 10-pin connector connected to the FPGA.
You can use the USB Blaster cable to iteratively download configuration data to a system during prototyping or to program data into the system during production.
It is compatible with most ALTERA FPGA/CPLD devices, active serial configuration devices, and enhanced configuration devices, and supports three download modes: AS, PS, and JTAG.
- Hardware Solution
- High-speed FT245+CPLD+244 solution, download speed similar to the original ALTERA USB Blaster, with the same operation.
- The download speed is 1 to 3 times faster than other schemes, such as 68013 or C8051F.
- Operation
- Supports most ALTERA FPGA/CPLD devices, active serial configuration devices, and enhanced configuration devices.
- Supports three download modes: AS, PS, JTAG.
- Internal FT245R+CPLD design, stable and high speed.
- Supports programming voltage from 1.2 to 5 V.
- Supports communication and debugging of the Nios II embedded processor.
