The UNI-T UT673PV is a solar MPPT meter (also referred to as a solar panel tester or checker for PV installations) that measures a module’s maximum power (MPPT) and helps identify underperforming panels. It displays Pmax, Vmp, Imp, Voc and Isc simultaneously on a large screen, streamlining PV commissioning and troubleshooting.
MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking — also known as a maximum power point tracker) is a control method that maximises the electrical energy extracted from solar panels by continuously adjusting voltage and current to keep the module at its maximum power point, despite changes in irradiance and temperature. This results in higher efficiency and better system performance, especially under non-ideal conditions.
This solar checker works without batteries (panel-powered) and supports both automatic and manual measurement. It includes MC4 test leads for fast, safe connections and comes in a portable, lightweight form factor for installers, O&M teams and manufacturers. Ideal for search intents like “MPPT meter for solar panels”, “Vmp/Imp solar tester” or “quick Voc/Isc checker”.
