The Osram 64634 bulb is a halogen light bulb (EFR).
The 64634 HLX model contains xenon gas instead of krypton gas as the filling gas, and thus 10% more intense light is obtained.
HLX identifies lamps that use XENOPHOT™ technology, an innovation introduced by Osram. In XENOPHOT™ lamps, krypton is replaced by xenon gas. Xenon reduces the evaporation rate of tungsten and allows for higher filament temperatures. Depending on the application, XENOPHOT™ can improve luminous efficiency, or can extend the life of the lamps.
