This filament offers high mechanical strength and excellent high-temperature performance. The blend of polyamide and carbon fiber enables the printing of large, extremely strong objects without warping, while also enhancing the filament's overall strength and rigidity. The inclusion of carbon fiber increases electrical conductivity, making the material suitable for conductive and dissipative applications, as well as for parts intended for direct end-use.
Key advantages include the ability to operate at temperatures of 150°C and superior inter-layer adhesion, which ensures high part strength regardless of print orientation. The addition of carbon fiber boosts electrical conductivity, making it suitable for conductive and dissipative applications.
Carbon fiber makes this filament highly abrasive; therefore, hardened steel nozzles (or similar) must be used for printing to prevent premature component wear.
To achieve a better finish and avoid printing issues, it is recommended to use 0.6 mm diameter nozzles and a layer height of 0.2 mm or greater.
Failure to follow these recommendations may cause nozzle clogging issues.
Once printing is complete, the nozzle must be cleaned by removing excess material to prevent clogs and unwanted defects. If using multiple materials, it is advisable to use a separate nozzle for each material to avoid unwanted mixing.
We recommend using Smartfil CLEAN to clean the extruder.
