Use and Maintenance
Wet and clean the electrode surface with water before use. Several methods are available for determination.
Base determination should be done carefully (sediment) to avoid deforming the end.
After prolonged use, remove a surface oxide film or adsorbent by applying 0.2MHC1V1-0.1MNAC1-0.2% Na2SO3. Heat the mixture at 70 degrees Celsius for 2 hours, and then saturate it with 0.05m quinone-hydroquinone. The detection potential in potassium hydrogen phthalate solution must comply with the following formula: E = 455-0.09 (59.1-[0.2 + (1) pH. Among them, the pH value of potassium hydrogen phthalate solution is 0.05 at T C.
For quantitative electrochemical analysis in laboratories, platinum electrodes of various types are used. In general, the electrodes are made of 10% PLATINUM iridium alloy for greater mechanical strength that guarantees a long service life without problems.
Electrode cylinders are usually made of wire gauze with a wire diameter of 0.15 mm * 360 mesh per cm2. This provides a larger surface area than the same weight of smooth or perforated platinum foil and allows the electrolyte to circulate much more freely. If electrolyte agitation is required to save deposition time, use a rotating type.
