The Emelec OFC Q5009 is a professional dual screened cable for audio and video applications, comprising two 0.25 mm² paths with a characteristic impedance of 75 Ω.
Each path uses a tinned oxygen-free copper conductor (OFC TC) with FPE insulation. Screening is provided by an 85% coverage tinned OFC copper braid, helping to protect the signals against external interference.
Its dual construction allows it to be used for stereo audio connections and other audio and video applications compatible with its electrical characteristics. It has a conductor-to-screen capacitance of 57 pF/m and a velocity factor of 0.80.
The outer sheath is made from blue UL-PVC and the cable has overall dimensions of 5.50 × 11.00 mm. Its operating temperature range is −15 to +70 °C.
The cable is sold by the metre, with 1 m as the sales unit. The original supply format is a 100 m reel, which is useful information for installations requiring long cable runs or complete reels.
