This smart multi-format battery charger has 8 slots managed by a microprocessor and allows for independent configuration of each slot.
It allows for rapid charging of multiple 2-amp current channels simultaneously, as well as such as 9V nickel-hydrogen batteries.
The charging current has 5 levels:
- 0.30 A
- 0.50 A
- 0.70 A
- 1.00 A
- 2.00 A
Charging Current
- Once lithium-ion (3.70 V / 3.80 V) and lithium iron phosphate (3.20 V) batteries are connected, the system automatically sets the current based on the detected internal resistance of the battery. To change the charging current, press and hold the CURRENT key. When the current value is flashing, briefly press the CURRENT key again to select the charging current from (0.30 A / 0.50 A / 0.70 A / 1.00 A / 2.00 A). The maximum charging current can be 2.00 A in slots 1, 3, 6, and 8, and 1.00 A in slots 2, 4, 5, and 7. The total charging current between slots 1 - 2, 3 - 4, 5 - 6, and 7 - 8 will not exceed 2 A, i.e. when one slot is charged with a current of 2 A and the battery is placed in the other slot for charging, this 2 A current will be reduced at 1 A for charging.
- The charging current for nickel-hydrogen/nickel-cadmium batteries (1.20 V) is fixed at 0.50 A and cannot be changed.
- Rechargeable nickel-hydrogen batteries (9.0 V) must be charged in dedicated locations and can charge two batteries simultaneously, each with a charging current of approximately 85 mA.
Indicators on the LCD panel
- CH: Battery symbol/channel
- A: Battery type/charging current
- V: Battery voltage V
- h: Charging time
- mAh: Charging capacity mAh
- % mΩ: Percentage and internal resistance of the Battery
- Null: Standby state
- Err: When the slot is short-circuited or the battery is reversed
- 100%: Battery fully charged and the battery symbol will remain on.
- Red and green bicolor LED.
- Red light on during charging
- Green light during standby mode and charging stopped
- If any abnormality is detected in the battery or slot (short-circuit, reverse connection, etc.), the red light will flash. alternatively to alert.
Charging Voltage
The system can automatically identify the 3.70 V lithium battery and the NiMH/NiCd battery (1.20 V).
For manual selection, press the MODE key and manually select 3.20 V for the lithium iron phosphate battery, as well as 3.80 V for the lithium (IMR) battery.
The NiMH battery (9.0 V) will not display data on the screen during charging.
With the 0 V voltage function activated, charging from 1.65 to 2.20 V will not be possible, but the A maintenance current.
Charging Mode
Constant current and voltage.
Safety
It has multiple safety protection functions such as overcharge, overdischarge, short circuit, reverse connection, etc., and can intelligently and automatically identify defective batteries.
Buttons and Display
Buttons or Keys
- MODE Button: This button is the battery type selection button; within 9 seconds of turning on the battery, click the MODE button to select the charging battery type (Li-ion 3.70V, Li-ion 3.80V, LiFePO4-3.20V), but other types cannot be selected when charging nickel hydrogen/nickel cadmium batteries (Ni MH/Nicd 1.20V); During the charging process, press and hold the MODE key to reselect the charging battery type, but the previous charging data will not be saved.
- NEXT (Next Channel) Button: This button is a query button for slots 1 to 8. Each time this button is clicked, the channel displays the charging data from the low channel to the high channel (address CH1CH8); Press and hold this button to keep the display screen lit, and long press it again to release the constant light.
- PREV (Previous Channel) Button: This button is an 8-to-1 channel query button. Each time this button is pressed, the channel displays charging data from high to low (address CH8CH1). Press and hold this button to keep the display lit, and press it again to turn it off.
- Current Button: This button selects the charging current. The system automatically sets the current based on the internal resistance of the battery, which remains unchanged for 9 seconds after power is turned on and inserted into the battery. If you want to change the charging current for a channel, first press the NEXT or PREV button to display it. Then, press and hold the current button. When the current value is flashing, briefly press and hold it to change the charging current for that channel. If you want the charging current for all installed battery channels to be the same, you can adjust it by holding down and briefly pressing the "Current" button while the battery type is flashing. At this point, the current values for all channels are the same.
Display
- After connecting the charger to the power source, the LCD screen will be fully displayed for about 3 seconds and then only display "Null." At the same time, the corresponding channel's indicator light will turn on. first red, then green, and finally off. When "Null" is displayed, the green indicator light will remain on; standby. The 9V charging channel indicator light will always be green, waiting to charge.
- When a battery is detected, the LCD will display the battery symbol/channel CH and channel battery type (Li-ion 3.70V, Li-ion 3.80V, LiFePO4-3.20V, NiMH/Nicd-1.20V)/charging current A/battery voltage V/charging time h/capacity mAh and percentage %/battery internal resistance mΩ, etc. After selecting the charging battery type (such as 3.20V/3.80V or default) and charging current, stop the operation and the battery type will flash 7 times. After about 9 seconds, the battery will be officially charged. At this point, the battery symbol will move to the top indicating that charging is in progress, and the corresponding channel indicator light will turn red;
- During the charging process, you can click the NEXT or PREVIOUS button to view the battery parameters for each slot; when the LCD screen is dim, clicking any button will brighten the screen; Press and hold the NEXT or PREV key to keep the LCD display in a constant state; when charging is complete, the battery symbol remains full and displays 100%. The charging parameters are saved, and the indicator light remains green.
- When abnormal conditions (short circuit/reverse connection, etc.) are detected on the battery or channel, the display will show the corresponding battery channel CH, Err, all battery symbols, and the corresponding channel battery symbols flashing completely, and the corresponding indicator light will turn red to alert; When the 9V charging channel detects an abnormality in the battery or channel (short circuit/reverse connection, etc.), the on-screen display will
