Smooth-On is a leading manufacturer of silicone rubbers, polyurethane rubbers and plastics, rigid and flexible urethane foams, epoxies, polysulfide rubbers, adhesives, coatings, release agents and other material technologies.
Smooth-On has a comprehensive quality control program that verifies the quality of incoming raw materials. Raw materials arrive in large tank cars, and no material can be unloaded unless it has been tested and meets our quality standards. If it fails our quality control tests, it is rejected and returned to the manufacturer.
It is then checked again while being blended in our large process mixing tanks.
Finally, the material is tested one last time before being dispensed into packaging containers.
