On July 5, 1982, the company Donau Elektronik GmbH was founded in Deggendorf. In 1985, the company headquarters moved to the current premises in Metten.
Donäu has been supplying in Germany and in more than 35 countries worldwide.
Customers include craftsmen who are enthusiastic about their hobbies, creative hobbyists and trade and industry professionals. It has a wide range of items that inspire small and large friends of the craft and is also very popular with older people in model railway and model-making clubs.
