This tower-format uninterruptible power supply (UPS) uses line-interactive technology and is rated at 2 000 VA / 1 200 W. This black version provides 4 Schuko output sockets and is intended to protect computers, monitors, peripherals and other home, office or small-retail IT equipment against mains failures and voltage fluctuations.
Automatic AVR Buck/Boost regulation compensates for certain mains fluctuations without continuously drawing on the battery. If utility power fails, the UPS transfers to battery operation in 2–6 ms typical —10 ms maximum— and supplies a simulated sine-wave output. It is not an online double-conversion UPS.
The connected load must remain within both the 2 000 VA apparent-power rating and the 1 200 W active-power rating. Multiple sockets make it easier to connect equipment but do not increase the available power. Runtime depends on load, battery condition and operating conditions and must not be treated as a fixed value. The manual instructs users not to connect laser printers or scanners and recommends avoiding loads with incompatible starting surges.
The UPS contains two sealed, maintenance-free 9 Ah lead-calcium batteries with a stated design life of 3–5 years. Recharge to 90% capacity takes 4–6 hours. Cold start and automatic restart after the battery is exhausted and mains power returns are supported. The battery is described as user-replaceable, but replacement must follow the manual and safety instructions; internal servicing is reserved for qualified personnel.
USB HID communication supports UPS monitoring, parameter configuration and controlled computer shutdown or hibernation using software compatible with Windows, Linux, Unix and Mac. LED indicators and audible alarms report mains operation, AVR regulation, battery operation, low battery, overload, fault and battery-replacement conditions.
The rear panel includes a fixed input lead with Schuko plug, 4 Schuko output sockets, a USB HID port and a cooling fan. Protection is provided against overload, short circuit, transients, battery over-discharge and charger overcurrent.
Install the UPS on a stable, dry and ventilated surface, connect it to a protective-earthed outlet and leave at least 20 cm clearance for airflow. Before first use, or after more than two months without use, the product-specific manual specifies charging the batteries for at least four hours. The outputs may remain energised from the batteries even when the UPS is disconnected from the mains; do not open or work inside the unit.
