Digital PC power supply tester for rapid functional checks on ATX-, BTX- and ITX-compatible units. It checks the main supply voltages and signals without connecting the power supply to the computer.
The tester is powered from the main 20- or 24-pin ATX connector. Its display shows voltages to one decimal place and includes the +12 V, −12 V, +5 V, +3.3 V and +5 V standby —5VSB— rails, together with a PG —Power Good— indication. Abnormal values or states are reported by a warning signal.
Supported connections include the main ATX connector, 4-pin P4, 8-pin Dual-CPU, 6-pin PCI Express, 4-pin peripheral connectors for HDD or CD-ROM, floppy-drive power and 15-pin SATA power.
Testing starts by connecting the 20/24-pin ATX plug and switching on the power supply. The P4, 6-pin PCI Express and 8-pin Dual-CPU connections are checked on the display. The manual instructs the user to connect additional power cables one at a time to avoid confusion during testing.
LEDs support peripheral-connector checks: +12 V and +5 V should be present for HDD/CD-ROM and floppy leads, while +12 V, +3.3 V and +5 V should be present for SATA. A missing indication points to a possible fault in the power supply or tested rail.
The tester suits experienced users, service departments and workshops requiring a quick check before installing or replacing a power supply. The manufacturer describes it as a functional voltage tester; the documentation does not specify loaded power testing or detailed pass/fail tolerances.
Do not leave the power supply connected to the PC while testing. Protect the tester from moisture, dust and direct sunlight. The package contains the power supply tester and user manual.
