Electromechanical PCB power relay with a 24 V DC coil and one SPDT changeover contact (1 CO / Form C). With the coil de-energised, the common terminal is connected to the normally closed (NC) contact; energising the coil transfers it to the normally open (NO) contact, and it returns when coil power is removed.
The contacts use a cadmium-free silver alloy. The general ratings table specifies 10 A at 120 V AC or 8 A at 30 V DC for resistive loads, and 5 A at 120 V AC or 4 A at 30 V DC for inductive loads at cos φ = 0.4. The approvals table also lists 10 A at 250 V AC under specified temperature and operation-count conditions; permissible capacity must therefore be selected for the actual load and applicable standard.
The 24 V DC coil has a rated current of 16.7 mA, resistance of 1,440 Ω ±10% at 23 °C and approximate power consumption of 400 mW. Must-operate voltage is no more than 75% of rated voltage —18 V— and must-release voltage is at least 10% —2.4 V— under the manufacturer’s stated conditions.
This G5LE-1 variant has five through-hole PCB terminals and a flux-protected enclosure. It is not the fully sealed version, which is designated G5LE-14. Maximum dimensions are 22.5 × 16.5 × 19.0 mm and approximate weight is 12 g.
Maximum operate time is 10 ms and release time is 5 ms. Coil-to-contact dielectric strength is 2,000 V AC for one minute, with 4,500 V impulse withstand voltage; dielectric strength between open contacts of the same polarity is 750 V AC for one minute.
Specified mechanical durability is at least 10 million operations and electrical durability at least 100,000 operations under the manufacturer’s test conditions. The operating range is −25 to +85 °C, with no icing or condensation.
Suitable applications include load control in household appliances, office equipment, vending machines and other PCB-based switching systems. Permissible capacity depends on voltage, resistive or inductive load characteristics, temperature and operating frequency; the 10 A figure must not be treated as a universal rating for every load or voltage.
