The TE Connectivity RT114012, from the SCHRACK RT1 range, is a general-purpose electromechanical power relay with a 12 V DC coil and one changeover contact (1 CO, SPDT). Its magnetic system is monostable: when de-energised, common terminal 11 is connected to normally closed contact 12 (NC); energising the coil switches it to normally open contact 14 (NO), and it returns to its initial state when the coil is de-energised.
The contacts are AgNi 90/10, with a rated current of 12 A and a rated contact voltage of 250 V AC. Maximum switching voltage is 400 V AC, while the limiting making current is 25 A under the conditions specified by the manufacturer.
This version uses printed circuit board terminals with a 3.5 mm pinning and is suitable for wave soldering. Its environmental protection category is RTII (flux proof). Reinforced insulation is provided between the coil and contacts, with an initial dielectric strength of 5,000 V RMS, and the relay operates from -40 °C to +85 °C.
The standard version supports PCB-THT and plug-in mounting. When the relay is socket-mounted, derating of the stated contact ratings may apply, so the limits specified for the complete mounting arrangement must be observed.
