USB-C to HDMI video adapter with a USB-C male plug, HDMI female output and integrated 15 cm cable. It connects an HDMI display to a laptop, phone or other device that provides video output through its USB-C port.
The source device must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode —DP Alt Mode— over USB-C. The presence of a physical USB-C port does not by itself guarantee video output, so compatibility must be checked in the computer or mobile device specifications.
The adapter supports a maximum resolution of 4K UHD at 60 Hz. The resolution and refresh rate actually available also depend on the capabilities of the USB-C source, display and HDMI cable used to complete the connection.
Plug-and-play operation requires no driver or external power supply. The signal path is from a USB-C video source to an HDMI display; reverse-direction operation is not documented by the manufacturer.
The short 15 cm cable reduces mechanical strain on the USB-C port and is convenient to carry with a laptop. The adapter is black and has a net weight of 20 g.
It is suitable for connecting HDMI monitors, televisions or projectors to compatible USB-C equipment at workstations, presentations, classrooms or audiovisual installations. An HDMI cable with suitable connectors is required between the adapter and display.
