Espressif ESP32-DevKitC-32E is an ESP32-DevKitC V4 development board fitted with the ESP32-WROOM-32E module and 4 MB of Flash memory. It can be used to develop and test ESP32-based applications with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity.
Most of the module’s inputs and outputs are available through two 19-pin side headers, making it easy to connect peripherals with jumper wires or use the board on a breadboard. The ESP32 provides functions and peripherals including GPIO, ADC, DAC, PWM, I2C, I2S, SPI and UART.
Programming and communication with a computer are provided through the Micro-USB connector and the integrated USB-to-UART bridge, which supports transfer rates of up to 3 Mbps. The board also includes a Boot button for entering firmware download mode, an EN reset button and a power indicator LED.
Power supply: the board can be powered through the Micro-USB connector, the 5 V and GND pins, or the 3V3 and GND pins. These three options are mutually exclusive and only one should be used at a time. Using more than one power source simultaneously may damage the board or the power supply.
Pin usage: pins D0, D1, D2, D3, CMD and CLK are used internally for communication with the SPI Flash memory. They should not be used as general-purpose inputs or outputs, as doing so may disrupt access to that memory.
