The OWON B41T+ is a 4½-digit True RMS digital multimeter with Bluetooth connectivity and built-in data-logging capability. It measures AC/DC voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle and temperature, and also provides continuity and diode testing.
Its display provides up to 21,999 counts, with backlighting and an analogue bar graph. Automatic and manual ranging are supported, together with data hold, relative measurement and MAX/MIN capture, making the meter suitable for both spot checks and monitoring changing measurements.
True RMS measurement provides effective-value readings for AC signals. A K-type thermocouple input also allows temperature measurement from −50 to 400 °C. The meter supports measurements up to 1,000 V DC, 750 V AC and 20 A, subject to the ranges and operating conditions specified by the manufacturer.
Built-in Bluetooth allows the B41T+ to communicate with the OWON mobile app for Android and iOS. The app provides real-time readings, remote meter control, multi-meter monitoring, trend graphs and tables, configurable limit alerts, voice readout and the ability to save or share measurements as CSV files.
The B41T+ also provides offline data logging without a permanent Bluetooth connection. Recording can be started from the mobile app, after which the wireless connection is disconnected while the meter stores measurements internally. Up to 10,000 data points can be recorded over a period of up to 168 hours (7 days). Once recording has finished, the stored measurements can be downloaded through the app for viewing and analysis.
Bluetooth multi-device support allows several compatible meters to be monitored from a single mobile device. Voice readout and configurable alerts are useful where readings need to be followed without continuously watching the multimeter display.
Applications: suitable for electronic circuit testing and debugging, electrical and electronic measurements, monitoring measurement trends over time, and education or training. The combination of multimeter, temperature measurement and data logging is particularly useful where a sequence of measurements needs to be retained for later analysis.
The meter is rated CAT III 1,000 V. The correct terminals, measurement function and range must always be used and maximum input ratings observed. Circuit power should be disconnected and high-voltage capacitors discharged before resistance, continuity, diode or capacitance testing. The meter and test leads must not be used if damaged, in wet or damp conditions, or in explosive atmospheres.
Power is supplied by two 1.5 V AA batteries. Low-battery indication and automatic power-off are provided. The meter is supplied with test leads, a K-type thermocouple and the relevant accessories specified by the manufacturer.
