The Vossloh-Schwabe ELXc 235.221, reference 188922, is a built-in electronic ballast for operating two linear T5 fluorescent lamps with G5 caps. It supports 2 × 14 W, 2 × 21 W, 2 × 28 W or 2 × 35 W lamp configurations.
The unit uses warm-start electrode preheating and is suitable for installations subject to frequent switching. The ELXc series is designed for lighting systems with more than five switching cycles per day and starts the lamps after their electrodes have been preheated.
It operates from a 220–240 V AC, 50–60 Hz supply and also supports DC operation. End-of-life lamp protection (EOL) in accordance with EN 61347 Test 2 is provided for T5 applications. Its M10 metal casing is intended for protection class I luminaires and has an IP20 degree of protection.
The ballast measures 359 × 30 × 21 mm with a 350 mm mounting-hole spacing. The manufacturer states an average service life of 50,000 hours for the ELXc series.
