The Pro'sKit SS-969B is an SMD hot-air rework station designed for soldering, desoldering and electronic component repair on PCBs. It provides 700 W of power, an adjustable temperature range of 100 to 450 °C and adjustable airflow up to 120 L/min.
Microprocessor temperature control with a closed-loop sensor provides stable hot-air regulation. A sensor in the handpiece automatically switches between operating and standby modes: heating starts when the handpiece is lifted from its holder and stops when it is returned, at which point the automatic cooling process begins.
The system uses a brushless motor and turbine fan with a noise level below 45 dB. Its gentle, adjustable airflow is suitable for reworking temperature-sensitive components and packages including SOIC, CHIP, QFP, PLCC and BGA. It can also be used for heat-shrink applications, preheating and the removal of lacquer or adhesives.
The hot-air handpiece uses a silicone cable rated for temperatures up to 200 °C. For safe operation, the station must be connected to an earthed socket, used in a well-ventilated area and kept away from combustible gases and flammable materials. After use, the handpiece should remain in its holder until the automatic cooling cycle has finished before the power is disconnected.
