The Samsung INR18650-25R is a rechargeable lithium-ion cell in the 18650 format, with a nominal voltage of 3.6 V and a minimum standard discharge capacity of 2500 mAh. It is intended for applications requiring high current delivery capability in a compact cylindrical format.
The cell supports a maximum continuous discharge current of 20 A. Samsung also specifies a maximum momentary pulse current of 100 A for less than 1 second. These values relate to different discharge conditions and should not be treated as equivalent.
Charging uses the CC-CV method, up to a charge voltage of 4.2 V. The standard charging current is 1.25 A, and Samsung also specifies a 4 A charging regime under the conditions established for this cell.
This product is a cell intended for integration. The equipment or battery pack into which it is incorporated must provide an appropriate charging system and suitable protection, while respecting polarity and the specified voltage, current and temperature limits. Short circuits, overcharging, over-discharge and excessive heating must be avoided.
For permanent electrical connections, methods suitable for lithium-ion cells should be used to avoid transferring excessive heat to the cell during integration.
